In the history of Divisional Secretariat – Irakkamam 3 historical events took placed on 27th of July,2021.
1. Our former Divisional Secretary of Irakkamam Divisional Secretariat Mr. M.M. Nazeer (SLAS, Special Grade) got promotion for his special grade and went to his new position after 13 years of dedicated and Committed services to the public of Irakkamam Division, which is one of the remote area and with less facilities. He also played vital role as an Assistant Divisional Secretary at Kalmunai, Lahugala, Siyambalanduwa, Sammanthurai and Irakkamam and as a Divisional Secretary at Sammanthurai, Addalaichenai, Kalmunai and Irakkamam. Aslo was an Assistant Commissioner of Poor Relief at District Secretariat – Ampara.

Our former Assistant Divisional Secretary of Irakkamam Divisional Secretariat Mrs. Fathima Naheeja Musafir (SLAS, LLB, Attorney – at – Law), got transfer to Addalaichchenai Divisional Secretariat and assumed her duties and responsibility as Assistant Divisional Secretary 27th of July, 2021. She provided her services as an Assistant Divisional Secretary at Divisional Secretariat – Irakkamam from her first appointment on 14th of October, 2015 till 26th of July, 2021.
3. Our new Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr. M.A.C Ahamed Nazeel (SLAS) Assumed his duties and responsibilities at Divisional Secretariat – Irakkamam on 27th of July, 2021. He was as an Assistant Divisional Secretary at Addalaichchenai Divisional Secretariat and he provided his dedicated and committed service to the public in the Addalaichchenai Division. He also played vital as an Assistant Director at Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs and provided his dedicated and committed services as an Assistant Divisional Secretary at Pottuvil Divisional Secretariat.
