As part of the national initiative "Integrity Culture – Clean Sri Lanka," National Integrity Week is being observed across the country from 27 July to 31 July 2026.
This national programme aims to promote an honest and transparent public service in Sri Lanka while enhancing the ethical well-being of its citizens.
As part of this initiative, the inaugural programme of the "Integrity Culture – Clean Sri Lanka" National Programme was held today, 27 July 2026 (Monday), at the Auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat, Irakkamam, under the patronage of Divisional Secretary - M.S.M. Razzan.
During the event, the Integrity Pledge, emphasizing transparency in the public service, the provision of honest and corruption-free services, and prioritizing the welfare of the public, was read by Administrative Officer I.L.M. Razak. Thereafter, all officers of the Divisional Secretariat took the oath, pledging to perform their duties with honesty and integrity.
Addressing the gathering, the Divisional Secretary highlighted that integrity, transparency, and accountability are fundamental values of the public service. He further emphasized the importance of carrying out official responsibilities with honesty, efficiency, and unity in order to maintain the trust and confidence of the public.
The event was attended by Assistant Divisional Secretary N.F. Ayma, Deputy Director (Planning) K.L. Hamsar, Administrative Grama Niladhari K.M.U. Nilupul Kumar, Samurdhi Management Director A.L. Nawfer, along with heads of divisions and numerous officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
